Hi, I'm still in high school but pretty soon I'm going to have to apply for Uni and all I can think about doing is philosophy, cause I think it's a great class and I'm pretty good at it but I'm worrying cause maybe at university level it will get too hard AND cause I would have no idea of what to do with the degree (that doesn't bother me that much now but I think it will soon), so do you think it's worth majoring in Philosophy? How hard is it really? Thanks!

Philosophy Majors are awesome to everyone except those who don’t major in philosophy. It sounds like one of those useless degrees, and it is, but it’s so worth it, I think. I’m studying philosophy, but I want to write fiction novels. It’s very difficult, but it gets a lot less overwhelming the more you read and the more you engage yourself in the material.

philosophy majors are the dumbest kind of smart person

how is it that some people who do academic philosophy can be so sensitive to semantic nuance and so perceptive of every little logical fallacy
but when it comes to the ways of speaking that are actually damaging to people every day like racist or sexist rhetoric or whatever else, they're like DERP DERP DERP and don't even notice it. they even partake! they don't even find it INTERESTING!
how HOW

your stupid blog and these shitty memes and the entire attitude that's pervasive in at least undergrad philosophy are why i switched majors after a year

i hate you

Well, “gossip girl”, you are obviously a beautiful person with a rich life filled with knowledge and love and are certainly not a psychotic cow xD

I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy studying philosophy, but it certainly isn’t for everyone.
